I like comic books err… graphic novels. Yeah, that’s the ticket. I am a Marvel Girl, pretty much, but as I’ve said before, I’m getting into the gritty works of Frank Miller. If I had more cha-ching in my ba-nking, I’d see what the fuss is about Warren Ellis.
Gambit (or Gambitch as one of my friends [...]

So I just saw The Incredible Hulk…and loved it. It was a fun escape from the toils and tribulations of this workaday world.
It’s completely different from Ang Lee’s version–Ang Lee tried to present a more cerebral vision of the brawny green giant and that didn’t exactly pan out. I guess one shouldn’t overthink a character [...]

I had heard good things about this movie, so I went in expected a fun popcorn flick. Thrills, chills and pop spills…all of that. Robert Downey Jr is a great, underrated actor, so I was anticipating a good job from him. Gwyneth Paltrow gave an adequate performance also. I barely recognized Jeff Bridges; I thought [...]

Robotcatalypse
One cyborg cat and her girl take on a legion of robots that want to turn all humans into a form of lubrication!
(Note: On second thought, that kinda sounds awesome.)
The Juggler

Any lingering doubt with Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker, has been throughly disspelled with this clip —at least for me. He’s nuts, insane, and totally devoid of humanity. (Click on the download button.)
That’s just as the Joker should be, though I still love Jack’s version of the villain.

I’m conducting an interview with two of the comic book industry’s most notorious vigilantes: Batman and Frank Castle. I want to see what motivates these terrifying men on why they do what they do. Sure, there isn’t as much crime, but at what price to society?
Me: Batman, could you introduce yourself, let us know a [...]
He looks as if he is faintly enjoying that…

Comic Books that I would like to see brought to the Big Screen:
The Preacher
The Walking Dead
Captain America
Comic Books that shouldn’t ever be made (whether or not they’re already out there):
Fantastic Four
Archie
Jimmy Olson and Pals
Nick Fury–it depends on who is starring and directing it. Tommy Lee Jones would be an excellent Nick Fury.
I think the comic [...]
